Yarn Basket in Lunenburg Moving;
Knitter Looking for Group in Fitchburg/Leominster
Sara writes:
I wanted to let you know that I found out The Yarn Basket in Lunenburg is moving According to the flyer I got when I was there, they will be moving to 88 Mass Ave. (still in Lunenburg), which is right down the street from them. The flyer notes that it's right next to Grand Rental and across from Fallon Animal Clinic. They are moving on July 1 and will eventually be having a grand re-opening.
Also, while I am emailing you, I am a fellow knitting blogger (apurlgurl.blogspot.com/) and I am looking for a knitting group in the Fitchburg/Leominster area. A Stitch 'n' Bitch in Boston is too far for me to travel, but I am was wondering if you would ask if any of your readers in the area are interested in starting something. I am posting it to my blog too, but I dont think I have any readers yet. You can have them contact me directly [at sara@librarygirl.org] or whatever — I am just taking a chance that your readers may be interested.
Thanks!
Sara
I haven't had a chance to call and confirm the moving information, so you might want to do so yourself before heading over to the Yarn Basket in July.
The Yarn Basket
165 Massachusetts Ave. (moving to 88 Massachusetts Ave.)
Lunenburg, MA 01462

As for knitting groups in the Fitchburg area, there may be members of Stitch 'n' Bitch-Boston who live or work that far away from the city — the group has more than 1,500 members at this point, and some are pretty far afield from Boston. So for Sara or anyone else who wants to find a group anywhere in Massachusetts, it's probably worth posting to the Stitch 'n' Bitch-Boston board to see if anyone there is interested in forming a local group, or can steer you to one.

I didn't see a way to email Sara, but tell her that there is a Sudbury SnB on Wed nights at 6:30 at the Starbucks on Boston Post Rd. I don't know much about it, having just moved to the area last week, but I was going to stop by and check it out soon. Might be too far for her -- not sure?

I was having a problem contacting Sara also. Please let her know that there is a knitting guild in Harvard, MA that meets each month. http://www.nashobavalleyknitters.org/

Sorry about the oversight. I've added Sara's email address to the post. It's sara@librarygirl.org.
