A couple of weeks ago, someone at the Sunday Somerville Stitch ’n’ Bitch mentioned that a tattoo place called Tribal Ways, on the corner of Mass. Ave. and Newbury Street in Boston, now is selling fiber and supplies for spinning it. The fiber-selling venture is called Fiber Ways on the web site, though it’s not listed in the phone book under that name—at least, not yet. (The owners also have a third store at the same location—a New Age store called Spirit Ways.)
The Tribal Ways web site also says that the store offers lessons in fiber-processing, spinning, and weaving. More information on the sfiber-arts offerings is on a separate site. I’m guessing that the focus is on spinning fibers for weaving rather than for knitting.
The Fiber Ways site mentions a Witch Spin Spinners Guild that will be meeting monthly at the store, but no details on a date or anything. To keep up to date you can join the Witchspindle Yahoo Group.
And this page says it has live online spinning chat Thursdays from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
