His journals can be thought-provoking, calming, inspirational, sometimes even irritating, but are pretty much always worth reading. Watch his interview on Oregon Public Broadcasting, try an issue of the Chronicles, or read one of his books.

I knit as a hobby and maintain this blog and the lists of yarn stores and fiber-arts groups as a hobby. They're updated whenever I get around to it.
I knit as a hobby. I first took it up in the early '80s, but stopped for about 10 years. I started knitting again three or four years ago.
I am also a member of the Stitch 'n' Bitch-Boston Yahoo Group, many of whose members meet in person at cafes, bars, and restaurants, both in Boston and way beyond, to ply their crafts and exchange ideas.
I maintain this blog and the lists of yarn stores and groups in my spare time. I started it just because I was curious about what yarn stores were in the area and thought others might be, too. A blog seemed like a good way to share the info with people both inside and outside of Stitch 'n' Bitch-Boston.
I haven’t been to all the stores that are reviewed. Other knitters e-mail me with their comments, and I post most of them. If you have a review of a store that hasn't been reviewed recently, or have new information to share, e-mail me using the link above.
This is not a for-profit site, and I don't sell yarn or have a yarn/knitting business of any kind. (Though I do maintain the web site for Mind's Eye Yarns in Cambridge.) But most of the book links on this site go to Amazon, and they are set up so that I get a commission when anyone clicks on them and subsequently buys a book, or anything else, during that Amazon shopping session. That's true even if they don't buy one of the books I've recommended, or even if what they buy is not a book. This is my cheap-o attempt to help cover my server costs and make up for time spent on this blog instead of pursuing money-making activities. Rest assured that I am recommending these books because I actually like them and find them useful.
